What the Flippin Hell…..
So we had a new TE enter into the realm of the Daily Challenge yesterday, and the reviews, to say the least, were brutal…
From what I understand, not only was there a 20 second timer, obviously to take a page our of Easy Hits 4U, but in order to move to the next page when surfing, you had to enter in a ‘’code” then click the icon. Some tell me it took roughly 30 seconds per page to surf the site. when the Daily challenge goal is 1000 pages, that can be brutal.
Memo to the owners of this site, and I don’t care what people say about “everyone will complain about something new”, if you truly want people to use your site to advertise, I suggest a more “user friendly” experience. The 20 second timer isnt really a huge deal, as per the aforementioned EasyHits4U, they have been successful with it, and even they vary their timer depending on the site and they also provide you with a better credit to page ratio if you are seeing a 20 second site, but asking your surfers to jump through additional hoops and only providing a .5 ratio just to get to the next page is just wrong.
Did I surf the site myself? no.. but I don’t need to in order to form an opinion, as I have several sources that actually did surf the site and they were not happy. 3 hours to surf 250 pages? seriously? and what credit ratio does this site provide? apparently .5 credits per click. that’s about average for a site with a 5 second timer and a simple click to the next page. If you are going to make us jump through hoops and sit through 20 seconds of staring at the same page, you can at least make it worth our while. Apparently there is no upgrade option as well? Well, after hearing what a horrendous experience it was who the hell would want to upgrade anyway?
Wow… just…. wow..
Needless to say I am glad first that I did not join, and second, I am most certainly happy that I did not surf that site yesterday. XP be damned.. I have better things to do with my time than that.

Scott, what a great post!
I hope the owner reads all of the stuff that folks have been posting about their site.
Maybe they should stick to PTC and whatever else they do.
Be glad you did not waste your time there. 50 pages was all I could stand! I felt it my responsibility as a team leader to do at least that.
Great post dude!
One other tidbit. Server reset was at 7 PM ET. Had no intentions of going for 1000, but 500 was in play until I found out about that — at 6 PM (oops). Communication is a big part of the daily challenge deal as well. If you aren’t a EST server site, please make sure your customers know it. TY!
