End of a long ride….
Well, this has been coming for a while now. I have seen the trend and the lack of interest. Mot if it is my fault, but I just don’t have the passion anymore. A lot of you know that I host a weekly Sports show and have done so for the last six years. A few friends and I started it to talk sports every Sunday night for a couple of hours and it has been a wild ride for sure, but it’s time to move on. We have struggled for a year or so with dwindling viewers, platform issues, and inconsistency with which of my co-hosts were going to show up or not. Combine that a wake-up call regarding my weight and lack of a healthy lifestyle has moved me to focus more on getting healthy and my career. I have a great job, I work with great people and right now, that’s pretty much the only thing in my life that is fulfilling to me. it has taken me 30 years to find where I belong, and I have found it. Regarding the show, I am sad to end it, but it hasn’t been fun for me in a long time. I am mostly to blame for its demise, I take full responsibility for that. I failed to promote it and I failed to keep my blog going with the passion that I started it with. the URL should be up for renewal next month, www.thesportsnerd.us will also close down, as I am not passionate enough to keep it going.
for those of you that have followed me and come to my show… I thank you for supporting us over the years.. but it is time to move on. Ill be on Facebook for all of my sports commentary… maybe I will get a good enough following there to where I can re-launch the show.. but for now.. its the end of an amazing time in my life.. Part of me is sad, but mostly I am focused on the future and what the next chapter of my life is going to bring.
